Our Staff

Jill Houtz

Jill is our fearless leader.  She is the owner and the primary hand building and sculpting instructor.  Her creative spark is an inspiration to the whole studio. She is a wonderful instructor and great with kids.

Richard VanSickle

With over 30 years of experience, Richard is our primary wheel instructor.  He has developed our core instructional philosophy and is dedicated to helping us become better potters.

Sheila O’Brien

Sheila was first introduced to pottery in college.  After years of being distracted, she has returned to pottery.  She now imparts her love and knowledge of ceramics to her students on Thursday evenings.

Eric Rose

Eric is one of our home-grown teachers. He took pottery at North High School here in Wichita. And has been involved here at our studio for several years. He explores large forms and was recently inspired at a pottery workshop in Las Vegas.

Julie Tarm

Julie, a highly skilled hand builder, teaches our kids class on Saturday. She has a background in many different media. She encourages our youngest students in a calm environment.
